I know the excitement when a whole new range of Makeup arrives in the beauty world. Nip+Fab has been doing really well in the skincare for years and I am so glad they came up with makeup finally! The makeup range was launched with an event in London with demonstration from Mario Dedivanovic, who is one of the top makeup artists known for Kardashian Glam makeup look. Nip and Fab makeup collection has a range of foundtions from fair to dark, blush, contour, highlighting and eyeshadow palettes and also correctors, lipsticks and more.
The makeup range is fun, flirty and effective for any beauty obsessed person. The range is really for everyone, catering to all, from fair to dark skin tones providing shades that will suit the whole girl squad. I got chance to try some of their amazing makeup but I won’t say I am obsessed with everything. After testing these for few weeks now, I have my favourites. If you’re interested to know what are my best picks and what didn’t work much for me, keep on reading 🙂
Packaging: Before I start talking about each product, I want to mention that Nip+Fab products come with simple, chic, clear packaging with Black & white branding. I love the products are clearly visible and I do not have to open everything to see what shades are inside. The clear packaging makes me reach for these more than other products and I easily spot what I want to pick for a particular look I am creating. I know a mirror with palettes is quite handy specially for travelling but I anyways carry something that has mirror. If I am getting a high quality product at affordable price, I don’t mind carrying a mirror.
- Primer Water – 01 Bare* | £9.95 for 100ml
I was excited to see primer Water as I hadn’t tried one earlier from any brand. This primer water instantly refreshes and hydrates the skin whilst keeping all the benefits of a primer with this convenient primer mist.
This contains glycerine which has properties of glue-ing makeup so your makeup can stay in place all day. It does smell like glycerine as soon as I spritz it on my face but the smell fades away in seconds so that doesn’t bother me. This primer water is suitable for use before applying makeup or as a priming touch up throughout the day. I find this really helpful in warmer months when you just want face mists all the time so a mist primer is a fab product to have in your makeup essentials.
- Blusher Palette – 01 Blushed* | £8.95
This is one of the best blush palettes I have in my collection. All four shades in this quad are so wearable for all skin tones. This quad has delicate pinks, soft corals and warm plum hues to add a pop of colour to the cheeks for any occasion.
Flamingo: candy pink shade
Cocktail: Soft Coral shade
Whisper: Deep Coral with terracotta undertones
Velvet: Soft plum shade
The pigmentation is amazing and the finish oh my gawwwd is a beautiful suede matte that looks and feels amazing on skin. These are very high quality blushes and I have been reaching for them almost every single day. I highly recommend this blusher palette as the pan sizes are quite big for the price you pay.
- Contour Palette – 02 Medium* | £15 (currently on offer)
First of all you’ll think 6 large pans in different shades for just 15 quid? Yessss! And the possibilities with these palettes are numerous. You can bronze, contour, highlight or use them as eyeshadows depending upon your skintone. This palette in Medium is perfect for medium to Olive skintones.
Aspen: Cool toned Gold shade perfect for highlight or as eyeshadow
Rose Honey: Warm peachy brown perfect for soft bronze for day time look or as a beautiful eyeshadow or transition shade
Walnut: Cool toned contour shade perfect for my medium skin tone.
Amber: Warm brown with slight hint of deep peach perfect for bronzing and for eyeshadows
Truffle: Cool toned deep brown for heavy contour
Warm Ivory: Bone shade nude perfect for setting makeup if you have light-medium complexion or beautiful as brow bone highlight
This is the only contour palette you’ll ever need to enhance, define and highlight for the illusion of killer cheekbones, a sharper jawline and sculpted nose. The texture is velvety suede and each shade blends beautifully giving a matte defined finish to the skin.
What a perfect name ‘Stroboscopic’! You can’t get any better highlighter palette than this. The texture is super smooth and the pigmentation is insane. These powders are finely milled and are so buttery that they melt into the skin making them seamless. I love the shade selection as well.
Selfie: Love the name. Cool toned highlighter that gives a wet look to the skin in selfies.
Champagne: Beautiful champagne shade
Golden: Light gold shade
SunBeam: Mix of gold, champagne and rosegold
Rosegold: Beautiful rosegold shade
Sunkissed: Beautiful bronze shade
From cool to warm tones, it has got you covered to create a full on strobing effect. These can also be used as eyeshadows which is a super value for money. I now think I wasted my money all these years on so many high-end highlighter palettes but this is all I needed! I highly highly recommend trying this palette. You will fall in love 🙂
- Eyeshadow Palette – 01 Sculpted* | £10.95 (currently on offer)
I may not be able to describe the shades but this palette is perfect for creating subtle sculpt look for the day to strong smokey night time looks. It has all the neutrals, browns and plums you may want to create a smokey eye look. This palette has 12 highly-pigmented complimentary warm and shimmery shades, ranging from a light base to a more deep taupe, you can create a mix to suit your mood. The texture is velvety that feels as soft as a cream, colour pay-off is amazing and all shades blend beautifully. This is the mother of all neutral eyeshadow palettes and is so compact that it will fit easily in your makeup bag.
- Colour Correctors*| £8.95 each
If you have any kind of discolouration that sees through your foundation or concealer, you need a corrector. Discolouration can be redness due to spots or uneven skintone or dark circles. You might also want to consider a corrector for adding brightness to dull complexion.
These colour correctors come in 4 shades – Terracotta, Peppermint, Lavender and Banana. You can enhance your complexion and blur out imperfections with these correctors. The formula is crease-resistant, fast-drying and very lightweight on the skin whilst the coverage and pigmentation is fabulous.
I love the brush applicator and squeezy tube packaging which is easy to apply and carry anywhere. Colours are shown in the clear strip of the tube which makes it easy to find in your makeup bag.
The product consistency is same throughout and the pigment and oil doesnot separate in the tube which is so important. I have used correctors from another famous drugstore brand and the pigment separates in all their correctors. I am not the only one who faced the issue. The correctors by Nip & Fab are not drying under eyes either so definitely one of the best correctors in market.
Terracotta – The warm orange tone of our terracotta concealer neutralises blue undertones and is ideal for concealing under eye circles and dark spots.
Peppermint – This green toned concealer neutralises redness on the skin and is ideal for covering blemishes and reducing irregular skin pigmentation.
Lavender – This purple toned, high pigment liquid concealer eliminates any unwanted yellow undertones to the skin and works well under foundation to create a perfectly even-toned complexion, helping balance out any yellowness.
Banana – This yellow toned concealer not only will provide good general coverage but it’s also great for concealing dark under eye circles and can be used to subtly highlight and brighten the high points of the face.
- Matte Liquid Lipstick* | £7.95 each
These liquid lipsticks have a creamy formula that goes on like a gloss but dries down to a true matte finish. These non-drying, high pigment liquid lipsticks stays through couple of cups of coffee/tea and a meal easily. However the shades can be slightly deceiving as these look different when they dry. The consistency is very thin so if you have pink lips, these will look beautiful but if you have dark lips, you should consider correcting them or apply two coats.
I have dark pigmented lips like most South Asians so I need to apply a deeper nude liner underneath to correct the pigmentation before going over with these matte lipsticks. This makes an extra step for me which I don’t mind on days when I have time but definitely not for everyday. That’s just a personal issue with my shade selection. I will definitely be trying other shades when they release more but the current ones are not my faves.
This is my Nip&Fab collection and thoughts. Its definitely going to grow as I pretty much liked everything. I am going to pick foundation next. Have you tried Nip&Fab MakeUp? What is your favourite pick? If not, I would recommend picking the palettes first as you are definitely going to love them. Highlighter and Blush palettes are my faves!
You can buy these products from Nip & Fab or from Superdrug.
Until next time..
