Some fragrances leave an unforgettable special effect on us and Cafe Tuberosa is one of such few fragrances for me. This is a chocolaty floral fragrance with warm spicy notes that makes you feel like eating it! One thing I love about Atelier Colognes is that their fragrances are not targetted towards men or women. All their colognes are unisex and layer with each other really well.
About Atelier Cologne
Established in 2009, Atelier Cologne is the first Maison de Parfum creating Pure Parfumes inspired by the legendary Eau de Cologne. The founders, Sylvie Ganter and Christophe Cervasel, gave birth to a new olfactory family, “Cologne Absolu”. For the first time, citruses are blended with the most precious natural raw materials for perfectly balanced creations and exceptional lasting power.
About Cafe Tuberosa Cologne Absolu
Cafe Tuberosa is from Mythical & Bright Flowers Collection and was launched in 2017. Its original blend of ingredients such as tuberose from India, bergamot from Italy and an espresso coffee accord turns this pure perfume into an exceptional unisex fragrance that will occupy your heart and mind from morning to night.
Atelier Cologne described this fragrance so well –
He had received a mysterious invitation to Venice just a few days after that unforgettable night. He was wondering what this was all about, then he recognised “Café Tuberosa”.
Notes
Top notes: Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian mandarin, Guatemalan cardamom
Heart notes: Rose oil, Indian tuberose
Base notes: Madagascan vanilla, cocoa pod
Star Ingredients
- Tuberose from India
- Bergamot from Calabria
- Coffee Espresso Accord
Supporting Role
- Tangerine from Sicily
- Cardamom from Guatemala
- Cacao Absolue from the Ivory Coast
- Damascus Rose Absolue
- Patchouli from Indonesia
- Vanilla from Madagascar
Café Tuberosa cologne absolue is a warm, spicy scent that embraces gourmand accents. Blending Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian mandarin and Guatemalan cardamom with floral notes of rose oil and tuberose, its base is heady with delicious cocoa notes, Madagascan vanilla, and white musk.
There are no coffee notes in the composition, but they created an accord that smells like coffee. This fragrance is a gourmand-lovers ‘dream come true’ fragrance.
The opening is incredible but I do not get the citrus smell. Rich coffee accord takes the command with support of creamy vanilla and tuberose and holds the composition together.
The formula of the Café Tuberosa cologne absolu is made from 84% renewable natural origin ingredients of the highest quality. Usually, colognes have a concentration of up to 5% and therefore they fade away fast. This cologne has 18% concentration of pure perfume (similar to a good EDP) which gives it a long-lasting power. This also means you get more value for money as you will be using fewer sprays compared to regular colognes.
Projection & Longevity
This fragrance has impressive performance both projection and longevity wise. It is a head-turner and keeps you smelling delicious all day! I would say the longevity is 8-9 hours on my skin while projection is strong. This is seriously good stuff!
Overall Thoughts
This is a fantastic gourmand floral, deliciously spicy fragrance for cold evenings – perfect for autumn and winter. Intensity is somewhere between moderate to strong. Longevity is impressive (I also spritz it on my clothes) and it lasts all day/night. It leaves a trail of coffee notes in the air – very comforting and cozy. A great pick for date nights with a partner you love and trust – Your significant other will be all over you, I tell ya! Atelier Cologne created this wonderfully beautiful fragrance that I can not stop wearing. This is one of my top 5 cold weather fragrances that get me many compliments and I cannot recommend this enough.
RRP: £65 30ml / £110 100ml / £160 200ml ; Stockist: www.ateliercologne.com
The fragrance is also available at John Lewis & Partners and Selfridges.
Until next time, Ashh xo
