If you’re a regular visitor of my blog & social media, you would know how much I love Caudalie skincare products. I have been using their products for so many years now but its the first time I tried Premier Cru range.
This is the fanciest range from Caudalie so far – not just in terms of just price but also posh packaging. I have started noticing fine lines under my eyes and on forehead (thanks to age and a bit of stress). I have been using some products from this range for past few weeks and would like to share my thoughts so far.
- Premier Cru – The Serum | £90 for 30ml
This is the newest launch and is a powerhouse serum that improves visible signs of aging while firming, smoothing, brightening, tackling dark spots and supporting skin’s natural collagen production.
Key ingredients are:
- Vinergy (patented complex) which activates energy and boosts effectiveness
- Resveratrol and Micro Hyaluronic Acid which have anti-ageing properties
- Viniferine which tackles black spots and provides radiance
- Polyphenols which act as antioxidant and has anti-wrinkle properties
- Macro Hyaluronic Acid which moisturises and plumps the skin
- Vinolevure which moisturises and fortifies the skin
- White Peony which boosts radiance & evens complexion
The gel-like serum is very lightweight and sinks into skin quickly. It works like a booster under the Premier Cru Cream or you can use it under your favourite moisturiser. The highly concentrated formula of serum boosts the effectiveness of your anti-ageing cream.
I feel slight tightness in my skin after applying serum which is probably due to anti-ageing ingredients. I noticed my skin looked healthier after first use but with regular use its looking more radiant, even and smoother. I have been using this along with couple of other products from Premier Cru range but I have tried it with my other moisturiser too and it works like a treat.
- Premier Cru – The Cream | £90 for 50ml
This cream has been reformulated to provide the anti-ageing formula that’s even more natural. The packaging has changed too. I saw people complaining about any product overflow in the transparent lids earlier. Thankfully, there is no overflow in this one and the lids are not transparent either.
The lightweight yet intensely hydrating anti-ageing cream feels very luxurious on the skin. Sometimes when the moisturiser is rich it can clog your pores but this one sinks right into the skin and doesn’t congest my pores. This cream can be applied morning or in the evening preferably over the Premier Cru serum to get best results. The Premier Cru cream becomes 7 times more effective when used with the serum. This creamy moisturiser melts into the skin to leave it feeling velvety soft, smoothed and hydrated. The cream aims to make skin firmer, complexion even & radiant.
Main ingredients are:
- Resveratrol and Micro Hyaluronic Acid which have anti-ageing properties
- Viniferine which tackles black spots and provides radiance
- Polyphenols which act as antioxidant and has anti-wrinkle properties
- Apricot Butter that nourishes the skin
- Grape-seed Oil that nourishes & repairs
- Peptides that lifts the skin
- Vinolevure that moisturize & fortify
The pump packaging insures the longevity of actives in this cream. Caudalie says it is ‘The Cream’ – The only cream that you need for all your anti-ageing skin issues like lines, wrinkles, dark spots, uneven & dull skin tone. I have seen improvement in skin tone and my skin looks radiant with continued use. However, I am going to continue using this to see if my fine lines are filled as reported in the clinical test results.
- Premier Cru – The Eye Cream | £49 for 15ml
This eye cream by Caudalie has been a bestseller from quite some years but the brand has reformulated the product that comes in new packaging. This eye cream tackles signs of ageing and also has soft focus pigments that instantly brightens and smoothes around the eye. The light, fragrance-free & silicone-free formula leaves skin feeling hydrated, smoothed and firmer. The eye cream aims to treat dark circles & puffiness around eyes to reveal brighter looking eyes.
- Caffeine that tackles dark circles & puffiness
- Grape-seed Oil that nourishes & repairs
- Silver & Copper Pearlisers that provides instant radiance effect
- Peptides that lifts the skin
- Soft Focus Powder for instant radiance effect
- Vinolevure that moisturize & fortify
The texture of eye cream is moderately thick and the pump packaging keeps the actives fresh and effective for longer period. I have dark circles, fine lines & dry under eye contour. The under eye contour looks more hydrated with continued use which helps better makeup application. Unlike some other eye creams, this one doesn’t give me Milia spots and doesn’t clog the delicate skin around my eyes. I will report back in few weeks if I notice visible changes in dark circles and fine lines.
Overall thoughts | Nobody can stop their age or stop getting wrinkles with time but we can surely slow it down and age gracefully. My initial 2-3 weeks test got me positive enough to continue using the range. I will report back in few weeks to share further results but so far I noticed brighter, even complexion, hydrated skin and no congestion of pores.
The range is definitely expensive but if you can shell out money on your skincare, it is definitely to check out. However, I recommend trying the travel size if you are not sure of investing in this range.
Until next time
