Clean originally launched in 2003 and has built a loyal following for its eco-friendly perfumes, home scents, body and haircare. Clean Reserve is a new collection of fragrances from the creators of Clean. Created with responsibly sourced ingredients and eco-conscious manufacturing and packaging. The culmination of a unique, creative collaboration with three of the world’s top fragrance houses chosen because of their commitment to sustainability and philanthropy.
If you follow me on Instagram (here), you probably have seen this a number of times on my feed and that’s because I love this fragrance so much! This is one of those fragrances that I can wear any day or everyday.
Packaging: The packaging is true to its name too just CLEAN. It has a wooden lid and a white label with clear bottle which is very aesthetically pleasing – Minimal & Clean!
Each CLEAN Reserve fragrance was created to be dynamic and evoke, not memories of the past, but possibilities and experiences yet to be discovered. Each is linear without much movement from top to bottom, making it ideal for layering and blending. Inspired by an unwavering dedication to beauty, boldness, and inner-strength.
Sel Santal* is a unisex fragrance labelled as green oriental composition and was launched in the late 2016. This fragrance blends crisp mandarin leaves with bright bergamot over a heart of rich salted fig and hazelnut cream. A base of decadent amber and opulent sandalwood round out the scent.
Ingredients: ALCOHOL DENAT., FRAGRANCE/PARFUM, WATER/AQUA/EAU, GLYCERIN, LINALOOL, LIMONENE, COUMARIN, CITRAL, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE, EUGENOL, CITRONELLOL, GERANIOL, FARNESOL, ISOEUGENOL, PHENOXYETHANOL, SODIUM BENZOATE, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM METABISULFITE.
Sustainable Ingredients: Violet & Styrax
Top Notes
Mandarin leaves, Bergamot, Nutmeg tonic
Middle Notes
Iris, salted fig, violet, hazelnut cream
Dry Notes
Sandalwood, Decadent amber, Styrax, Rose musk
Overall Thoughts: This fragrance can be used alone or can be layered with other clean fragrances to create your own signature scent. This fragrance lasts all day and is so uplifting. It starts as a bit strong and modern masculine but mellows down to clean, powdery and calming scent with a bit of spice. Sandalwood is persistent throughout which I love! I highly recommend trying this one.
This fragrance retails for £79 for 100 ml (which is reasonable imo as its a Eau de Parfum) and can be purchased from SpaceNk in the UK.
Have you tried Clean fragrances before? If yes, which one is your favourite? If not, what kind of notes do you prefer in fragrances? Let me know in the comments below.
Until next time
