What’s NEW: Simply Significant Edition III
This Spring, Yú Parfums has released edition III which has formulations loaded with musks needing the warmth of the skin to bloom. This edition is all about the discreet and intimate skin-like scents, scents that are designed to resonate and hold a presence without being overpowering; scents that evoke an atmosphere of silence and serenity. These scents can be used as enhancers or layered with previous editions for further unique compositions.
Chapter VII – Tactile liquid-essence that murmurs on the skin with a motion of electric charge. Chapter VII opens like a beam of light, offering a sensational effect with metallic rose, oxygen and iced peppermint. The background is musky and ambery, with woody tones of white patchouli. Elixir fusion reinforces the patchouli facet whilst Kashmir Fusion adds a clean, velvety musk.
I get a very clean, airy vibe with chapter VII. This is a soft, subtle fragrance with a delicate rose, toned-down mint, patchouli, and clean, velvety musk. This is the softest out of the three and stays close to you. This is great for layering or as a bedtime scent. Also, fab for anyone working in settings like a hospital, school, etc.
Chapter VIII – A comforting scent that goes beyond the skin…A sparkly hint of pepper illuminated the musky ambrette accord of Chapter VIII, evolving into a creamy ambery trail, reminiscent of human warmth. Vanilla pairs with Kashmir Fusion to create a soothing musky cloud. There is a mysterious woody undertone of incense and Cedar Fusion.
I get a sharp note of pepper in the opening blended creamy vanilla. The dry down is woody musk with an interesting twist from incense. This one is calming, soft, delicate, and warming! I love this and would totally wear this in Spring & Summer.
Chapter IX – A journey through layers of musks and lingering crystal ambers. Tonka beans evoke a caramel skin glow nuanced with leathery shades of saffron, whilst an infusion of cardamom adds radiance to Chapter IX, rounded with an accord of sun-warmed sand.
This one is the strongest and the most complex out of this edition but still keeping that discreet, intimate vibe. The star notes are tonka beans and leather here. Cardamom brightens up the composition. It is smooth, spicy, woodsy, sensual, and warm. I see myself wearing this a lot during transition months like autumn.
It is hard to pick a fave but I really like Chapter VIII for warm months and Chapter IX for colder months. Each edition contains 3x10ml gender-neutral perfume chapters, one refillable atomizer, and nine scent sticks. There are bi-monthly, 6 and 12-month membership options available.
Until next time, Ashh xo
