Who doesn’t want to prolong that summer glow? Honestly speaking, it only takes a few extra steps in your beauty routine to boost the glow and enhance your holiday tan.
Step 1: Exfoliate
The best way to enhance the look of your skin is to keep it exfoliated and soft. Whether dry brushing is your thing or using an exfoliator, getting rid of dead skin cells will transform the skin and increase the blood circulation which in turn will enhance the glow.
Step 2: Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize
If you want to maintain a tan, you need to moisturize immediately following your shower – even better if your skin is still a bit damp. This preps your skin for radiance. Now after dressing up, wherever a bit of skin is visible, add a few drops of body oil to boost the glow. Nuxe Dry Oil is one of my all-time favorites for the glow and if you want to add sheen along with a bit of tan, Nuxe Shimmering dry oil is THE BEST. Nuxe body oils smell deliciously like summer and hands down they’re great for photoshoots as well.
Step 3: Self-tanning
You can always use a self-tanning lotion or mix it with your regular moisturizer (or use a gradual sun tanning cream) to prolong that holiday suntan look.
Step 4: Makeup
Don’t forget the power of makeup! You can always cheat a little with a bit of bronzer across your face with a pop of blush for a healthy flush of color. Finish the look with a swipe of tinted lip balm or a gloss and a touch of mascara. To take it to the next level, you may apply a cream eyeshadow in the bronze shade on the eyelids and a little cream highlighter on the high points of the face and the décolletage. There are a lot of black friday makeup deals to take advantage of until the end of this month.
Until next time, Ashh xo
