Go Nude with Nudestix (not literally!)

As an old fan of Nudestix, it becomes necessary to share my top favourites including some new launches from the brand. I discovered the brand 2 years ago and back then Nudestix was not easily available in the UK. Today its not only available easily via so many online retailer but loved by so many people.

NUDESTIX is a simple collection of easy-to-use makeup crayons that cover all the bases and give you a fresh-faced, nude look. These multi-purpose sticks are enriched with skin-saving vitamins, antioxidants and moisturizers.

Face

• Nudies All Over Face Colour (New Launch) | £32 

NUDIES color stix are dual ended with soft color balm on one side and a blending brush on the other end for application convenience. Just draw directly on skin, dab softly with fingers or stipple color with brush provided. A custom, made in Korea all-over face color that softly kisses the skin with a matte or dewy, lightweight and luxurious formula. Draw effortless nude color all over face for a fresh, natural, youthful ‘no-makeup makeup’ look.

The softest, matte, monochromatic nude color for the eyes, cheeks and lips. These sticks are simple to use, blend well and easy to travel with. These are very lightweight (almost undetectable) on skin and you will not feel you are wearing any makeup. The nudestix formula is developed in a way that it sets to give you a peace of mind that it won’t budge.

You can go light or build up these all over face sticks for intense look.

Bondi Bae (matte) is a gorgeous bronze shade for me and looks absolutely flattering on my medium skin tone. The shade would work for variety of complexions and would be great for giving a sun-kissed look.

Illumi-Naughty (Glow) is a cool toned highlighter almost like holographic and its not that ‘in your face’ type of product that looks good only on Instagram or Videos. It is actually a very flattering highlighter which gives a ‘lit from within’ effect to the skin and this looks flattering on all skin tones. I didn’t know I would like it that much when I saw this stick but it the most gorgeous highlighter in my collection.

Hey, Honey (Glow) is a light golden shade that looks amazing on all skin tones but gives an extra oomph to warmer skin tone beauties. It gives my skin a beautiful glow and it can be worn alone or under your regular powder highlighter to give it a more intense effect. I like to wear this alone as it looks stunning.

Lips

Magnetic Matte Lip Color | £24

I have tried Magnetic Matte Lip Color from the brand and honestly its the most lightweight formula I have ever tried. It doesn’t feel anything on lips and due to being crayon, it is easy to apply and travel with. The magnetic matte lip colors come with a sleek sharpener. These lip crayons glide effortlessly onto lips and the color sets without feathering. The pigmentation is great and the formula is long-wearing too. Its transfer-proof and kiss-proof just like a lip tattoo. I have got 3 out of the 8 available shades:

Capri – Its a beautiful coral shade that looks amazing on light to medium skin tones. If you have darker lips, i would suggest lining them with a brown liner to make the coral shade look even better on you. Even if you don’t look line your lips, this shade will look terrific.

Greystone – For those grungy makeup lovers, this is a gorgeous brown that suits all skin tones. I On a day to day basis, I opt for nudes, soft plums and terracotta shades but I tried this one and it looks amazing.

Burgundy – I got this shade early last year and it was also a part of #BabeBoss Faves box (post) | £59 which was released last year in collaboration with 6 Beauty Vloggers. The shade Burgundy – A matte wine color was picked by Cydnee Black and the lipstick came in a set of 6 in a metal tin with a mirror and a sharpener). These lipsticks are also sold separately in a regular Nudestix mirrored tin and each lipstick comes with a sharpener.

Eyes

Magnetic Eye Color Pencils | £24

This is the first product I tried from the brand. I got a limited edition duo of two shades which made me fell in love with the brand. The formula is everything! It glides like a dream and sets in place quickly and doesn’t budge all day. I have oily eyelids and hardly any eyeshadow stays without creasing even with a primer. This is one eye pencil which stays in place all day without need of a primer. Depending upon the luminous or matte formula, you may use it for different uses like eye shadow, traditional eye liner, brow highlighter, cheek bone highlighter or tight lining the eyes. These can be easily blended as well.

Night is a matte intense black shade that I always use as a eye liner or for tight lining my lashes. I also like to use this as a base for some of my eyeshadows to give them intense look.

Gilt is a light gold shade that looks beautiful as an eyeshadow, tear duct highlight, brow bone highlight or as a highlight on high points of the face.

Burnish is a new addition to the famous magnetic eye color pencils. This is a luminous bronze tone gold shade that looks absolutely stunning as an eyeshadow or a liner on all skin tones.

Final thoughts

These nudestix products are so versatile. They glide on smoothly like a dream and perform really well. They are intensely pigmented and rarely need touch ups. These are perfect for #GoNudeButBetter makeup look and enhance your natural features. If you haven’t tried the brand before, I recommend starting with the Magnetic Eye Color pencils and All over Face products.
