Greenley from Parfums de Marly

Being a huge fan of Delina, I wanted to explore more from the brand but when I was offered Greenley to try, I wasn’t quite sure if I’d like it! Glad I did get to try this as I am so happy to discover a really gorgeous, crisp green fragrance! Greenley is a Fruity, Citrus, Aromatic fragrance that was launched in 2020 and was limited to Parfums de Marly Boutique initially but was rolled out to the official retailers gradually. It was launched in the UK early this year.

A fresh opening blast of sicilian bergamot and green apple with a woody heart of cedarwood, leading to elegant  amberwood base notes. “A fresh splash, green and fruity, and a vibrant tribute to the power of the earth.”

Packaging: Greenley comes in a green glass bottle which represents the clarity and transparency of this freshie. The cap or lid is very heavy and has a very snug fit on the bottle. It does click on the bottle but I do not recommend holding the bottle from the lid just because the bottle is also very heavy. The distribution on the atomizer is nice and wide.

Top notes
Sicilian Bergamot, Mandarin, Green Apple, Cashmere Wood

Heart notes
Cedarwood, Petitgrain, Violet, Pomarose

Base notes
Oakmoss, Musk, Amberwood Accord

The fragrance opens up very bright and juicy with bergamot and a big dose of crisp apple. Mandarin rounds out the edges of the green apple so it is not very tart. It immediately took me to a forest setting where there is fresh morning dew and crisp air. The green leafy smell from the trees is adding to the aroma of this composition. Violet and Pomarose add a little fruity floral touch to the fragrance. Cedarwood and cashmere wood softens the citrus composition and enhances the performance of this fragrance. The fragrance dries to a very mossy, musky, woody and a little ambery. Musk and Moss stand out in the base and love how it smells.

Performance: This fragrance leaves a scent trail and will get you noticed. It projects heavily on my skin for the first 1.5-2 hours and gets softer thereafter. I like to spray it on both skin and clothes and it stays for about 8 hours on me which is impressive for a fresh fragrance.

Final thoughts: The fragrance is a little aromatic herbal, fruity, citrusy, and a bit botanical. It is so inviting and easily likable. It is a very mass-appealing fragrance that will attract compliments. It works for all ages. It can be a safe blind buy! It is a versatile fragrance and is perfect for daytime casual wear.
