March has been pretty exciting and busy in terms of blogging. I got chance to explore new brands, lots of new makeup and skincare but in all honesty, my favourites are some new products that I recently discovered and some old that I have been testing for months. I do like to switch things in my makeup and skincare routines as per my mood and my skincare needs but I am sharing only the products I have been reaching most lately.
- Mac Cosmetics Lipstick – Taupe | £16.50
Taupe is a warm brown lipstick with a matte finish. This looks absolutely gorgeous on most skintones. This can be slight;y drying after few hours but I usually top this lipstick with Nyx soft matte lip creams and I don’t see any problems. I also make sure my lips are well exfoliated and moisturised just like my skin before wearing any makeup. I hate Mac has increased prices but I will repurchase this when I run out.
- Giorgio Armani Si* | £44.39 | Review
I haven’t stopped wearing this perfume since getting my hands on it. This is very elegant, sensual, chic and sophisticated fragrance for modern woman. The notes of blackcurrant nectar is rich and warm, making the scent last magnificently well throughout the day. This is strong without being overpowering. This fragrance is ideal for day or evening. This exceptionally fine perfume is the perfect choice for daily wear. I highly recommend checking this out as you’re going to love this everyday fragrance. By the way, Notino sells luxury fragrances at affordable prices. They have a good range.
- Nyx Soft matte lip cream | £5.50 | Review
Nyx Soft Matte lip creams are my favourite formula amongst their lip products. These lipsticks are a baby of matte liquid lipsticks and lip glosses. These stay put for hours and doesn’t dry out lips. I have been reaching for shades Stockholm which is a peachy nude and Cannes which is a gorgeous pink for me. I often use this as lipstick topper too. For eg. Mac Velvet Teddy and Nyx Cannes gives me a beautiful peachy pink shade that looks fabulous on my skin.
- Verso lip serum* | £55 | Review
This is the ONLY lip serum I use and this is AMAZING. This immediately plumps the lips in a good way and fills the fine lines. It rehabilitates dry , dehydrated lips and reverses the thinning of lips with time. A must for those whose lips are starting to lose youthful plumpness, as well as those with a heavily lined lip contour, apply on and around the lips to rapidly replenish and refine.
This is one of those products that show immediate results but it is not to be confused with the makeup lip plumpers that you get. This serum is for permanent lip plumping by reversing the signs of ageing. This is tasteless so wouldn’t bother anyone. Highly recommend!
- Verso Foaming Cleanser* | £32 | Review
This is a foaming cleanser but its is more of a creamy gel consistency. This cleanser takes off all impurities without making my skin feel tight. I use it as a second cleanse usually after removing makeup with an oil based makeup remover. This cleanser takes off any residue left from makeup removers. This is a very luxurious cleanser and is an absolute treat.
This cleansing butter removes every last trace of make-up, while purifying, cleansing and refreshing your skin, leaving it soft to the touch. It removes waterproof makeup in just a quick massage with this butter. This does what it says on the tin. It is one of the most luxurious feeling cleansing butter that you get at such an affordable price. I highly recommend checking this out.
This Quick film smoother by DHC skincare is a gel cream formula and is a lightweight moisturiser that smooths out the look of wrinkles instantly. It has Egg Shell membrane peptides that helps in smoothing out wrinkles. The Humectant-rich algae extract, sodium hyaluronate and soy protein hydrate and help protect from moisture loss. It can be used as a moisturiser in your skincare routine or as a primer before your makeup. I love multi-purpose products like this.
- VLC Creme to Powder Blush* | £33.50
I flirt with all my blushes but always come back to Vincent Longo Creme to Powder blushes. The formula is unique as it looks like a creamy blush in the pan but sets as a powder. This blush contains 75% Microwater with botanical seaweed extract and Vitamin E to moisturize and protect skin.
Last month I have been enjoying the shade Terra Dew which is a sheer Raspberry blush. My liking might drift towards Savannah Fresh (a rosy tan shade) in the upcoming months.
This blush won’t look oily or too dry/powdery on the skin. It will just give you a healthy and hydrated flush of colour which looks absolutely stunning. You need to try this if you haven’t already!
I had no idea that La Roche Posay does mascaras. I really like this as it gives me blackest black lashes with volume. I wear contact lenses and have sensitive eyes. This mascara doesn’t irritate my eyes and stays put all day without smudging. This multi-tasking formula delivers instant lengthening results as well as long term benefits. This mascara is supposed to eyelashes appear stronger and fuller with help from conditioning Arginine Oil (which I will report later). If you have super sensitive eyes, give this mascara a go. This is a fabulous mascara and you’ll continue to see it on my day to day makeup posts.
I was not much into browns but this is the ONLY palette which made me love browns so much. This says a lot! These eyeshadows are super pigmented and blend like a dream.
There is a good quality mirror in the palette along with their bestselling vegan friendly E40/41 dual ended Tapered Crease Blender/Smudger brush worth over £10 which makes it easy to deposit eyeshadow on the lid and blend from the other side.
The palette has the perfect balance of 11 velvety matte shades ranging from a gorgeous vanilla base colour and peachy tones to dramatic dark browns. It also contains 1 shimmery champagne highlighter shade. The palette is perfect for daytime natural to an ‘out-on-the-town’ smokey eye looks.
All shades translate so well on my medium skintone. The pigmentation and formulation is fabulous. The eyeshadows stay all day long (even without eyeshadow primers) which is so important. These blend beautifully without effort.
What have you been loving last month? Let me know in the comments below.
Until next time..
