I always love to read about travel beauty essentials or on-the-go beauty SOS as these always help me prepare for what to carry in my travel beauty bag. Today I am sharing my picks that I have discovered have helped me in the last few years. If a particular product is not available in travel size version, I like to transfer it to travel size bottles/containers to save space and weight limit. So, without blabbering much, let’s jump to my picks 🙂
Cleansing wipes/Baby wipes: We all know cleansing wipes are so helpful when we are travelling. Being a mommy of a pre-schooler, I use Baby wipes that I always carry in his bag so that saves me some extra space too :).
Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix Pads:Â The Glycolic fix cleansing pads are just a quick way of using an exfoliating toner on your face and remove that dullness in just one swipe. These do come in a handy travel size version but you see a full size in the photo just for representation purpose.
Face wash/Cleanser: If you’re travelling on a long flight, you definitely need a Facewash in your Beauty bag. I recommend carrying a gentle moisturizing face wash.
Moisturiser: I like to keep a travel size moisturizer in my beauty bag. I recommend using light weight gel formulations as they get absorbed quickly into the skin and are not sticky at all. I like Vichy Aqualia Thermal gel and Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir: This is one of the best toners/mists I have discovered that rejuvenates the skin in just one spritz. This is one of the best sellers from Caudalie and there is not even a single bad review about this product. Trust me, this is a beauty sorbet in a little bottle. This has skincare benefits if used for long term but you can instantly fee tightening in pores and smoothing of skin after spritzing this mist. It also makes a good base for makeup, sets your makeup and is great for refreshing your makeup at any time of the day.
Papaya Gold Dr Paw Paw Manuka Honey balm: This is a multi purpose balm enriched with Bioactive Manuka Honey and papaya that soothes, relieves and moisturises the skin. It comes in a handy tube which makes it very hygienic for every use. The balm can be used on lips, dried knuckles, elbows, knees or wherever you’re having dry skin.
Deo/Perfume: This is most essential specially for long flights. I usually keep pocket size perfume samples with me. I actually save my perfume samples for travelling. But for long flights I prefer keeping a roll-on deodorant with me.
Sleep spray: I usually don’t sleep in flights…well I used to when we were just couples but now we are parents so sleeping with a little kid is sometimes not possible. Sleeping sprays are something to consider if you are travelling alone or if you like to sleep in your flights.
Tooth kit: For long flights/journeys, definitely keep a tooth kit with toothbrush, a travel size toothpaste and toothpick for emergencies.
Intensive moisturising mask:Â I like to apply intensive moisturizing treatment masks while sleeping specially on days my skin gets dry. Travelling is also one of them. So after boarding and having your meal, you can definitely cleanse your face and utilize time by applying thin layer of moisturizing mask. As it is clear, nobody will notice anything on your face. I like Pixi Nourishing sleep mask or Nip and Fab Dragon’s blood plumping mask. This will keep your skin well moisturized but will not replace your body’s need for water. So stay hydrated!
Eye cream:Â Eye creams can be very handy in keeping your under eyes looking like normal. I recommend checking Clinique all about eyes rich eye cream or Benefit Cosmetics Its Potent eye cream.
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse dry oil: This multi purpose dry oil always goes with me wherever i go. I have full size as well as smaller travel size version of this oil. The travel size holds quite a good amount and always stays in my makeup bag. This can be used on face, body or hair and is not sticky at all. Once you use this, you will be hooked!
Tinted moisturiser/cc cream: This is not essential but if you like a little bit of coverage or to even out your skin, IÂ recommend carrying a cc cream or tinted moisturiser. I like Bourjois 123 perfect cc cream from drugstore and Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done Hybrid Complexion perfector (post here) from high-end at the moment.
Lipstick: On most days I wear neutral lipsticks but if you wear red lipsticks too. I recommend keeping a neutral as well as a red lipstick in your beauty bag. I like moisturizing creamy lipsticks for travelling as your lips can get really dry and chapped. Mac Ruby Woo is a classic red lipstick but it is a retro matte finish so well moisturized lips will be a key to this. Kiko Milano Intensely Lavish – 01Â , Kiko Milano Velvet Mat Satin – 612 Strawberry pink and Lakme Enrich Satins – 129 are some of my faves for neutrals. Nars and YSL do some great moisturizing lipsticks too.
Concealer:Â Your eyes can look very tired due to travelling. Concealer is the best tool to hide those dark circles and bags. I recommend Urban Decay Naked skin concealer or Maybelline Age rewind concealer.
Cream Blush: A light flush of colour on cheeks will make you look healthy. I prefer carrying cream blushers when I’m travelling. These double up as tinted lip balm. Illamasqua cream blush in Seduce is my favorite.
Mascara: A bit of mascara opens up the eyes and makes you look more awake. Taking your trusted mascara always helps when you are out and about. I love Maybelline Lash Sensational as it curls, lengthens and thicken my lashes and is super affordable too.
I hope you have prepared your checklist or have bookmarked this post for future reference 🙂
Thank you for reading. I hope I covered everything that you may need while travelling. If not, don’t forget to mention what I might need while travelling next month. I appreciate each  feedback/comment and will get back as soon as possible.
Until next time..
