Illamasqua got really famous for makeup artistry back when it was launched but I do not understand why everyone stopped talking about it. The products are still incredible and they deliver amazing results. I have been using their blushes and gel liner since 3 years now and they are my faves till date. Last month I got to try some pieces from the new The Reign of Rock Collection launched for Illamasqua’s 10th Anniversary and this post features my faves.
Illamasqua Artistry Palette – Elemental – If you’re looking for one eyeshadow palette that can take you from desk to party, this is it! The Artistry palette in Elemental was created for Illamasqua’s 10th Anniversary and has got 12 light to deep hues which are perfect for day time soft looks to intense smokey eyes. The pigmentation is impressive and the eyeshadows blend like a dream (mark my words). There is no fallout with these shadows and the cardboard palette is travel-friendly as well. The shades in this palette compliment all skin tones.
Illamasqua Jewel Vinyl – Another gorgeous launch (and a part of 10th Anniversary collection) is Jewel Vinyl by Illamasqua. Glitter can sometimes be pain to work with but not with these though! These are face and body glitter that come in a pressed form. The high pigment glitter particles have been expertly suspended into a luxurious, high performance hybrid balm that adheres to the skin, instantly creating a rainbow of iridescent colour. This comes in 6 shades including Blondie (gold), Bowie (oil slick), Stardust (dark rainbow), Wizzard (sliver), Heavy Metal (gun metal) and Roxy (red).
Illamasqua Iconic Chromes – If you’re not a fan of glitter, these shimmer bases are for you! The cream-to-powder hybrid formulation glides on to skin effortlessly, leaving a highly pigmented, metallic and multidimensional colour payoff. Created for both eyes and lips, the unique, buildable formula can be applied using either fingers or a brush, for both subtle and high-impact looks. Available in shades – Audacious, Inspiring, Avant-Garde, Passionate and Empowering. These glide effortlessly and are absolute dream to work with!
Ilamasqua Jewel Precision Ink Eye Liner – Talking of glitter, holy moly the Jewel Precision Ink Eye Liner are dream come true for those who are shy of glitter. Jewel Precision Ink’s ultra-fine tip allows for intricate, defined application, with a long lasting finish. This waterproof liner is filled with iridescent pigment to create a multidimensional, jewel finish. This liner adds a punch without being over the top. You can easily pull it off during the day as well. I have tried these with or without dark base and they look equally good but I prefer to apply Illamasqua Precision gel liner underneath for an intense look. See swatches to compare both.
Illamasqua Antimatter Lipsticks – When it comes to lipsticks, I have to admit that the Antimatter ones have the most gorgeous velvety formula. The shade Meteor (pink tone nude) is my new favourite and it is so flattering on all skin tones. It is a semi-matte lipstick that adds long-wearing, non-drying colour to your lips. Its smooth, creamy texture glides on effortlessly to soften and condition lips, whilst delivering high-pigmented, luscious colour in one effortless stroke. You will not feel that you are wearing any lipstick – its weightless & velvety and gives a slight plump look to lips (I don’t know how but shade Meteor is everything ).
Until next time, Ashh xo
