Tom Ford Private Blend – Jasmin Rouge EDP

Tom Ford Perfumes scream luxury and do not need any introduction! However, the fragrances from the brand are generally strong for an average person and it can be a hit or miss if you haven’t tried the brand before. Those who love TF fragrances, they absolutely like spicy bold scents. Jasmin Rouge surprisingly is so different than most of the fragrances from the brand. It is floral and sensuous yet making a statement in a very subtle way!

The fragrance was launched in September 2011 and the nose behind the fragrance is Rodrigo Flores-Roux. Jasmin Rouge is sensual and rich spicy-floral fragrance for women.

An unexpected blend of precious sambac jasmine sepals absolute, an ingredient never used before in perfumery with dusky clary sage and rich spices, it unveils a new facet of jasmine’s erotic decadence. Jasmin Rouge is as audacious as lacquered red lips. Its deep red bottle evokes lush and hedonistic glamour.

• Top Notes: Bergamot, Mandarin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom, Black pepper, White pepper
• Middle Notes: Sambac jasmine, Broom flower, Neroli, Ylang ylang, Clary sage
• Base Notes: Mexican vanilla, Labdanum, Leather, Wood, Amber

Intensity & Longevity: The fragrance has a fairly moderate intensity which for a women fragrance specially from Tom Ford is spot on! The longevity is moderate too but I don’t mind reapplying after few hours.

I absolutely love Tom Ford Noir and Black Orchid but Jasmin Rouge is no less! This is my first one from Tom Ford’s Private Blends and I can’t wait to try more. This fragrance comes in 50 ml and 100 ml and is available at Notino.

Overall Thoughts: In my opinion, Jasmin Rouge is a bouquet of white florals that will transport you to a Jasmine Garden. The power of Jasmine is boosted by spices and cardamom. The fragrance can easily be chosen as a wedding day fragrance as it does make a statement without being overpowering. If anyone is into florals, this fragrance would make a lovely gift for them. For a Tom Ford Fragrance, Jasmin Rouge is wonderfully soft and subtle. If Black Orchid is not your thing, you will like this one. This is not a typical old woman type of Jasmine but is very modern for this generation – A confident woman with a Bold Lip kind of Jasmine Scent. And not to mention, this is not a casual scent and is recommended for special occasions only.
